I loved 100 Years of Solitude (the book). It's such a beautiful story. Thanks for putting the series on my radar, I had no idea it was adapted by Netflix!

I’m excited to read the article about queuing, but I think it’s been a cultural force for several years! Think cronuts, iPhone drops, etc!

Very much on the same page as you for a gentle start to the new year! I like to give myself the headspace and keep my mind open to resolutions/intentions whatever you wanna call 'em through, January rather than cramming them in at the end of December.

Do nothing be cozy January sounds divine. My birthday is in February and I always count that as the start of my new year.

I'm a Feb baby too. Are you a Pisces crybaby like me? or an Aquarius intellectual?

I always find such great gems in your link roundups. Currently perusing the list of 2025 books and shows and adding frantically to my lists of things to read/watch.

As someone who often entertains the idea of a capsule wardrobe, I came across this article last week and it gave me a lot of food for thought: https://defector.com/a-capsule-wardrobe-wont-save-you

I started “100 years of solicitude” and picked it up a few times. I’m so intrigued about how this novel gets adapted! I just finished the latest adaptation of the popular Mexican novel. “Like water for chocolate” whose ending was even more depressing than the original. I wanted to like it and clearly I finished it but that was a rough watch. And yes I watched “Missing You” because what’s a new year without a Coben thriller. Though I can tell you it was riddled with me shouting at the laptop, “Omg! Really??”

Happy New Year, Sara!

“Omg! Really?” In a good way? I’ve been thinking of watching the show. I just need to find the time.

Like Water for Chocolate was in my opinion, a disappointment.

Happy New Year to you too :)
